Shinrin-yoku or Forest Bathing

Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, is a technique that Japan made part of its healthcare system in the 1980s to reduce high levels of stress among the population. According to the father of this therapy, immunologist Qing Li, immersing oneself in nature strengthens the immune system, reduces stress, and lowers blood pressure and heart rate, amongst other immediate benefits.

Walk through the National Park directly from the hotel and experience nature at its very best.

Connecting with nature

We live in a world where everything moves too fast, and immersing oneself in the “atmosphere of the forest” means taking a peaceful stroll, listening to the birds, feeling the wind, touching the water, smelling the tree trunks, or, as the Japanese say, enjoying the komorebi, which means “sunlight filtering through the leaves of the trees”.

Awaken your senses!

It’s not about endless walks or exhausting exercise! It’s a much more relaxed kind of thing: a short peaceful stroll along a path will not only help you switch off and reduce stress but will also awaken your senses and make you become one with nature.
