Feeding station incorporated into the Feeding Network for Scavenger Birds

The Palacio Viejo de las Corchuelas features a feeding station for scavenger birds, that is part of the Feeding Network for Scavenger Birds of the Regional Government of Extremadura. At the feeding station, you can enjoy the experience of watching and taking pictures of scavenging behaviour from less than ten metres away.

Learn about scavenger birds of prey at our dedicated observation post

Full capacity

The HIDE Observation Post is currently operating at full capacity, as birds are now used to being fed there regularly: scavenger birds such as Black, Egyptian and Griffon vultures come to eat there, along with Black and Red kites, crows, starlings and Iberian magpies, among others.

Fully equipped

Our HIDE Observation Post is fully enclosed, fitted with one-way mirrors and built of wood, which helps regulate the temperature and blends into the surroundings. It has seats inside and can accommodate up to four people.

A two-hour experience

The price is €180 per room (including VAT). The experience lasts approximately two hours and includes transportation from the house to the Observation Post (HIDE) and back to the house once the activity is over.
