Why attend?

Global Birdfair is more than just an event, it’s a Festival of Nature that channels support to BirdLife International. In 2025, the “Safeguarding Ocean Species” initiative focuses on the Antipodean albatross and other endangered seabirds.

Highlights of the programme

  • Talks and conferences across multiple stages
  • Discovery Zone and youth workshops
  • Bird ringing exhibition and hands-on science demonstrations
  • Global exhibitors: from optics and photography to NGOs, books, travel and more

Conservation in action

This year’s fundraising supports bycatch mitigation measures in Pacific longline fisheries, helping conserve albatrosses and petrels through deterrent lines.

After the historic Birdfair at Egleton ended in 2021, Global Birdfair now continues its legacy at Rutland, expanding with a fresh global outlook.

As passionate birdwatchers, at Las Corchuelas we encourage you to attend.
